Majestic Mudmee (old book)

Commemorative souvenir book prepared on the occasion of the 'Mudmee Gala' organized for the Thai Red Cross Society by the diplomatic community to help raise funds for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's Support Foundation and the Thai Red Cross in 1991. Profusely illustrated throughout its 140 pages with color photographs including one on the first page taken by the Queen's husband, His Majesty the King of Thailand. The first section, titled "Thai Mudmee Silk" shows various portraits of the Queen in various outfits as well as meeting foreign heads-of-state and other dignitaries. The second section is on the Queen's "Pursuit of Art and Craft Preservation". Third section is on the "Story of Mudmee". Final section titled "Beautiful Mudmee" shows color photos of dozens of examples of the range of designs produced. Text in English, except for 2 page introduction in Thai. Book measures 8.5" x 11.5". Laminated cover shows a portrait of the Queen on the front and a typical fabric desgn on the rest of the cover. due to its size and weight, additional shipping charges will be required for any order outside the United States.
